Re: REQ: Infantry Squad system

On topic of infantry squads, I personally am not looking for anything crazy like CoH/MoW's level of squad management - just something like Command & Conquer 3's squads would be nice ;). You could also do neat balancing with squad systems for units like the marine, which are woefully underused in...

Re: My feedback

Unit responsiveness is also one of my biggest concerns in AoA. Everything should be input driven in a fast paced RTS as this and it doesn't help when units feel "floaty" (like Wargame's units). I've noticed this with the infantry and especially with the helicopters - when I order my Osprey...

Re: What is act of aggression suppose to be?

Why are so many people expecting a Wargame sequel from Act of Aggression? Eugen has explicitly stated that they were returning to the Golden Age of RTS (commenting on games like Starcraft and Command & Conquer) and that this would be a spiritual successor to the AoW series. There is extremely li...

Re: Unit order delay (Important for fast paced games.)

Yes! This really has to be looked into in a game like Act of Aggression. Wargame attempts to simulate realistic combat, so a bit of input lag / slow moving units is warranted. In a classic RTS, everything should be input driven. When I order my Osprey to unload, it should land right then and there a...

Direct move vs fast move

Why is there no fast move vs direct move? If I have a recon vehicle drive from point A to point B to uncover the fog of war in that straight line, the vehicle will automatically take the fastest route to B. Which more than likely means diverging off course to take a road. This forces you with unnece...

Re: Unit production list

Like Company of Heroes/CnC does it? Yes.

Having tabs to quickly select unit producing structures would be a huge help.

Re: REQ: Infantry Squad system

Yes please! Have it like 4 to 5 men squads for riflemen and 2 men squads for anti tank units. Increase cost/build time as necessary and reduce the number of slots in buildings/transports to compensate for squads.

Plane flight height

Anyone think the planes currently fly a little too low to the ground? I've been watching streams (because I sadly missed the beta registration period) and they look way too close to the ground. Maybe have planes only controllable in the satellite view? EDIT: Or maybe this could be remedied by featur...
