Re: The Problem with the Game - The Victory Conditions

Wait wait wait... you guys don't keep a strategic point reserve, to use once you've met the enemy and know what tools you'll need to get the job done? O_o Are you all completely mad? Is that really what I haven't been getting when people complain about "rushing"? That people are guessing a...

Re: The current state of the meta-game - My two cents

I think I've roundly beaten every single player that's ever used a "rush" style tactic against me. This is in open multiplayer, mind, not ranked. Not sure if ranked is different. Every time someone has "rushed" me, and it hasn't happened *that* often, they've lost the game. Those...

Re: Remove / Limit buyable veterancy in ranked games

An interesting idea, to be sure. One thing I'm not sure you're aware of is that units gain veterancy based on the ratio of points-value of damage being done to their own points-value. That's why a 5 point APC shooting up a command jeep will level 4 times very quickly, while a heavy tank has to wade ...

Re: The Warsaw God Tanks

Any of the T-62 series have laughably weak side/rear/top armour, even the more advanced ones with good front armour. this means that if they're giving you trouble, it's likely because you're shooting at their fronts. These are tanks which even relatively light artillery can do a great deal of damage...

Re: Game needs static defences !!!

There are only two sorts of "defense" I'd like to see added in the near-term. The first would be pre-placed tank hull-down positions, especially for NATO tanks. These could be already present on the map, diggable by engineers (in 5 minutes of game time, perhaps). The second would be hand-l...

Re: L44 /M1A1 gun

A point of consideration - the simple "AP" value could also factor in the precision with which shots are able to be landed on more vulnerable areas, crew training (& intel availability) in knowing what those areas are, and so on and so forth. It's doesn't necessarily have to be a strai...

Re: What IS a rush?

It's rushing/spam when it happens to you, but it's maneuver/tactics when you do it to someone else. *ducks* Most of the rushing/spamming complaints on either side I see are poor players/sportsmanship. Better prepared players just react to a rush or attack and deal with it appropriately. Getting cal...

Re: The Warsaw God Tanks

Also, a lot of cold war weaponry was never fired in anger - that doesn't mean that it wouldn't have been, if a proper fight had started. Those ATGMs were in all of the tanks for a reason - but they never had proper enemy tanks to fire them at when they were suppressing rebellions or whathaveyou.

Re: Unofficial online ranking page

I can't seem to find myself by search, however by browsing manually I was able to locate myself. Also, I've gained more than 10 levels since what's listed on here - are updates weekly or less? I've gained a lot of levels in the last week - beating up on level 30+ players is a good way to power-level...
