Re: How do people stand playing conquest on popular maps?

It is a decent map, there is a lot of space to move and artillery is not a problem. Do you find the map too small for 1vs1? If you look up any of maps in EE/ALB you'll see that they have larger sectors and you can cross the map in any direction - a good example is Mecklenburg/Kalmar. In Paddy Field...

Re: How do people stand playing conquest on popular maps?

Paddy Field isn't narrow as long as people actually play it for 2v2s, not 3v3s or 4v4s... I was thinking of the 1v1 map that has about two thirds of the map as empty space, although they claim this was to allow manauevering between zones (or spawn rushing, I suppose). Either way its the same with m...

Re: How do people stand playing conquest on popular maps?

ALB and EE were vastly superior in regards to the fact that the ground game was focused, not microing artillery. The options were still there and you could summon the Buratino every 30 seconds to deal out some punishment, but the maps really were larger and more open. Paddy Field and Mud Fight are ...

Re: Eugen Stand to make a great deal of money by teaming up with Wargaming

I don't think it's a question of which is more popular, 10 vs 10 (and 5 vs 5) was a way of avoiding teams/pubstompers and having more players per side generally evens things out for newbies. That was true for RD in the first 6 months or so before people learned to how to manipulate the open lobby sy...

Re: Community Balance Patch

I think the best option for the Su-25T is an ECM boost to 30%, I'd re-role the Su-27M as SEAD w/Kh-31 and R-77s like the KF-16C, give the MiG-29M a pair of AGMs or as 505 suggested KAB-500 and keep the price at 150 or thereabouts. Drop the Su-27M to 170, add new model with this camo scheme - 709.jpg

Re: Eugen Stand to make a great deal of money by teaming up with Wargaming

The single-player campaigns in RD are a good example of what results from this kind of approach – photoshopped 2-D artwork, poorly edited and translated text, and an overall sub-par experience. This is to say nothing of AoA, which apparently fell flat on all accounts. Obviously times have changed s...

Re: Future DLC’s for Wargame Red Dragon

However it's more erroneously on the Soviet Sukhois, as it was integrated on the Su-27 as late as in 2003 with the Su-27SM upgrade standard. All of the R-77-mounting Sukhoi models in the game are fantasy units as they aren't capable of using the R-77 in reality. So the spearhead of Soviet fighters ...

Re: Future DLC’s for Wargame Red Dragon

China doesn't have a hj9 because it lacks a superheavy, it has the hj9 because it's a cool unit and roughly in the timeframe Fairly sure that was the reason they gave early on - the same applies to the 62G, you can understand why they included it in Chinese/RD decks but why did we need the Verkenni...

Re: Future DLC’s for Wargame Red Dragon

Did you know that you could finish the Busan Pocket campaign in 3 tiens, as in the moment the Muhreens arrive? I didn't, until I read an online walkthrough - there's a campaign in ALB where you can occupy all Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm within two turns IIRC. There are no rules. Yeah, I don't mi...
