Re: Should Eugen Systems work for EA or Ubisoft for the next iteration of AoA?

What the fuck dude are you crazy ? Nobody should EVER work for those dickheads. Any game bought are burned to the ground. Stock Exchange is ruining everything : Sims, SimCity, Crysis, Battlefield, Red Alert, Tiberiums, Generals, Battleforge...... I prefer Eugen being dead a legend better than seing...

Re: Should Eugen Systems work for EA or Ubisoft for the next iteration of AoA?

Actually Stardock would be a best match. They were publishers for Sins of a Solar Empire and they themselves make strategy games. Stardock also has money, connections (one of oldest still standing devs/publishers) and knowhow. Would be a good bet, especially with the new online platform they are de...

Re: Should Eugen Systems work for EA or Ubisoft for the next iteration of AoA?

I'd prefer they go crowd funded instead. They can cut back on campaign, voice acting, etc, and concentrate on a viable long term multiplayer experience. As much as we hate it, I think free to play with cosmetic micro transactions is the most suitable funding model for a competitive game - you want ...

Re: Unit Delay

Take a look at Ashes of the Singularity, it's still super early access and pretty much a tech demo right now. But it is built around the concept of an RTS that will fully utilize modern tech including DX12 to make a far far bigger scale RTS, the end goal will put SupCom to shame. Eugen could have o...

Re: Unit Delay

TheRev, it's true that ashes is optimized and has no unit delay of any sort the difference is that ashes gameplay sucks a$$ comparing to aoa , while aoa gameplay wise is well made and funny as hell to play ,that fucked up with unit delay and sli if they can sort those 2 glaring issue , they will ha...

Re: Unit Delay

Funny thing, I have been so used to the Wargame series delay that I really don't mind a 0.5 delay, guess after three years you really don't mind. By the way, I just want to point out that traditionally RTS games have been resource eating monsters, being one of the most requirement-demanding genres,...

Re: Should Eugen Systems work for EA or Ubisoft for the next iteration of AoA?

I would take Ubisoft over EA. Ubisoft actually have a decent track record with RTS games, sure their AAA stuff is dodgy but they are good with RTS. For example R.U.S.E, EndWar, Anno, Settlers... Recently EA has butchered everything it touches even though it has a great RTS history, so I'd stay away....

Re: Unit Delay

This engine must be terrible if you can't even remove the unit delay without crippling performance on machines. Aside from Supreme Commander, I haven't played a single other RTS game that suffers from this problem. It's completely unacceptable IMO. Wonder why this hasn't been issue in WG I have hea...

Re: Unit Delay

If they can´t they can´t, theres no way around it ;) But lets just make it clear that this is an issue. but in the end, it always comes down to the same dilemma: to reduce unit delay means drastically downgrading the performances of lesser machines. Therefore it won't be done since it would mean ma...
