Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

Not sure if this has come up yet, but one of the larger questions at hand is will there be coalitions introduced that involve Israel (and to an extent the other nations that are in the pipeline) and what will those Nation combos be? An Israeli/US combination seems the most realistic and plausible b...

Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

And what if it CANNOT detect radar signals but you can use "FIRE AT POSITION" (T) to fire a missile with a big dispersion area (like a 50 pts paniced arty) in which if there is a working RAD system it will lock onto it? [The AGM-780 Standard has the approx coordinates inserted to it befor...

Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

It would be very flavourful of course, but it might also be op. Will it constantly detect enemy radar AA? It would be either shit or OP. Shit if it can't detect radar aa. Then it is just a worse ATGM carrier because aa is usually behinnd a few bushes anyway. Probably OP if it can detect radar aa. F...

Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

Thanks for pointing out that land based SAED units, i never knew such a thing existed. and battle tested as well. Regarding the Machbet it fits perfectly as a prototype unit, it was developed in the mid 90s and entered the IDF in 1997. in comparison the first production Longbow entered the US Army ...

Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

from the above info the machbet is actually a more ADVANCED version of the pivads . it has the same radar system only instead of a the basic PIVADS Lockheed kit it has a more advanced IAI/IAF kit that comes on top of the PIVADSconfiguration. Also, the machbet carries 1800 rounds and 8 stinger missi...

Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

Well, the Iron Dome works great in the real world..(Lets ignore the Patriot :D ) Isn't Iron Dome extremely advanced and far too modern for RD? I'm more interested on if Israel gets Machbet or not, combining the PIVADS with the Stinger-equipped HMMWV into a single unit would be glorious. That would ...

Re: Map Selection

You're right. This game is so succesful just because of the complexity and the verity it brings to the RTS world. There are so many different units doing so many different things it makes it interesting and fun to play. The problem is that the maps don't feel much different from each other and that ...

Re: NATION PACK: ISRAEL preview

The longer it takes, the more Merkavas (Merkavi?) I learned most of my Hebrew from Descent: Freespace 2 , but if that naming convention fits, multiple "Merkava" would be "Merkavanim". I think. Maybe. Merkava is a feminine, therefore if you want to pluralise it you have to end it...
