Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

You know, it's sort of comforting, knowing this thread lives on to this day, despite the official response. Us pause and give orders people still have hope! :)

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

P&O is much more complicated to implement than you may think. Since, however snobish you may consider it, WAB is a RTS , P&O was never a mandatory feature to be added. We don't say it is anathema to contemplate it in some (distant) future either, but as of now, it has to be balanced with mo...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

Well hold on TBR. To play devil's advocate, there could be aspects of this that could endanger the stability and security of multiplayer. We don't know for sure, but that seems like a reasonable assumption. If it really was trivial, I think they would do it because little bit more work = little bit ...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

YEAH! Real Generals need to micromanage those magic supply trucks as well! I mean, a good General knows when he needs to repair, refuel, and rearm a platoon of M1 tanks in a matter of seconds! He's got to be ready to send a flimsy command jeep into a sector at a moment's notice as well! Because ever...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

Hey, slowing the game down sounds like a great idea! One advantage to that would be that the replays already support super slo-mo, so perhaps this game logic is already in the game? I could see where putting a complete stop in would be problematic, because there would need to be a queue of chained c...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

In a way, perversely, I hope they DO implement a pause feature, just to witness the 27 page thread to follow: "This Feature I will Never Use Is RUINING THE GAME!!!"

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

IMHO, the game does not really need "pause & order". It maybe an RTS by it's does not require one to train ridiculous APM. A SC player could probably watch a movie AND browse FB all while playing ALB :) The game does not require you to click fast, rather think fast. Oh come on. The ar...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

There is no reason for so much drama over a simple request for an (entirely optional) pause feature. Y'all that are arguing against it have a serious case of cognitive bias. Even to the point of having Marshalls actually advising people to not buy the game. I'm sure Eugene appreciates that. Have fun...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

I'd be willing to bet that WGALB follows the model of almost every other game going where something like half the players who buy the game never go online even once. About 20% of players even read the forums, and about 5% of players post on the forums. So the "lifeblood of the game" is ac...

Re: The Holy Wholly "Pause & Order" Thread

That is a very arrogant attitude, sir. I DID buy the game for the skirmish and campaign modes. A non-negligible part of this community did as well, as shown by the popularity of this thread. For that matter, I'm sure a non-negligible part of the people who bought Call of Duty bought it for the campa...
