Re: Why the Jumbo needs a big change @Eugen

Well, honestly, when I see a jumbo while in a panther, i just target the escorts of the jumbo. Jumbos are, as I said before, only good at taking shots (when facing Panthers) so why should I shoot at the Jumbo when the real threats are behind it? The jumbo won't pen the panther at long range, and you...

Re: Why the Jumbo needs a big change @Eugen

The germans don't need such a breaching tool, they have an overwatch tool that can cover a steady advance in the form of the panther. It's not at the forefront, it's at the back, lobbing HE and AP shells from long range to cover your infantry advance, while the US has to get their tanks in the meat ...

Re: Why the Jumbo needs a big change @Eugen

The Panther has the same role as the Jumbo while doing a significantly worse job at it than its counter part and costs 100pts more. I had a real "wat?" moment IRL reading this. No, the panther doesn't have the same role as the Jumbo for the germans, like.. At all. The panther is basically...

Re: Why would you ever use a medium tank?

Éxcept in Wargame pretty much all tanks were MBTs with few exceptions, their stats differed a lot though. In WW2 there was a real difference between light, medium, heavy and infantry tanks(i.a.) and they were to be called like this. Exactly... Churchill is an infantry tank. It doesn't suit anyone's...

Re: Tanks: Breaking LoS and providing Cover?

I'd say the chances are null. As for the initial question, I'll let devs answers, but I think it's dynamically too hard to do (too much resources consumption) if it were to happen. Would also break aiming with units, the time to aim would probably go bork if you're aiming at a target that's gonna ge...

Re: Why the Jumbo needs a big change @Eugen

@Operation Ivy Well, IMO the churchill is ... An infantry tank. It is there to support infantry and fight off tanks it encounters, without being particularly good at it. Tanks in WW2 more often fought with (and against) infantry on the western front (not sure for the eastern front. More open so I gu...

Re: Why the Jumbo needs a big change @Eugene

Jumbo VS churchill, yes I think it's a bit rough (especially with lower availability Churchill VII). The Jumbo is faster(5/10km), tougher (front and sides), better armed (one .50 cal), for a marginal price increase. I beleive however, (and it's an opinion, mind you) that it is not really that releva...

Re: Why would you ever use a medium tank?

Aw, being an honorary marshal does give me the privilege of being the subject of Ad Hominems from a remaining marshal because I disagree? How cute <3 Where did I say I was "amazing"? I agree on the Pz IV, it's pretty bleh. M4A3 isn't that great for the cost either as its "upgrades&quo...

Re: Why would you ever use a medium tank?

If there's something I learned not to bait at again in these forums, it is an argument about a situation. There's always a counter argument to anything.

I'm giving some ways, people can be creative :) There are infinite options, but there's infinite ways of combining them.
