Well, mines are not something you deploy during a battle. The battles in this game are about meeting engagements, where no terrain preparations were done. No attacker/defender.

In Act of War, prisoners were put in buildings to get... Tortured for information or used as a permanent income source, but could be recaptured to get some of their price back.

Well, it would be realistic. THe allies didn't make many, if any, prisoners during D-Day.
