Select some grouped units, say 4 infantry squads. Press C for split. 1. Click ON the units label-box, to split them in to 3 + 1 2. Click anywhere outside the box to split them in to 4 separate squads I'd actually forgotten that one... good for having one inf squad split off to be a slightly forward...
