Re: Why the lack of key US units?

Not having the Burke is a little depressing, as well as the Comanche being out given the Ka-52 is in and the first airframe wasn't even built until 1996, but the rest have notable reasons for not being included. Patriot is out of scale (as is the S-300), the HAWK and Buk already push that limit. F-1...

Re: NATO reporting name VS GRAU

Oh yes but it'd be all your fault for naming them those things. Naming schemes would be visible by the player who makes them up only. Actually, if done by editing localizations or something of that sort, nobody else would see the changes because they'd be in your client's files. They'd have to be w...

Re: [RD] Unit of the Day

So, there are two scout lavs with different optics? Seems a little redundant. Thats how I feel especially with the 2 FSV variants (one with TOWS and one without?) They will have different availability and different pricing. I.E. Some people may not feel the need for the extra cost of the TOW and pr...

Re: NATO reporting name VS GRAU

If there was an option in the menu to pick a naming style, then awesome, but in terms of standardization, readability/ease of identification for your average player is BY FAR the most important thing to worry about. in a vacuum this wouldn't be hard since the game uses localization files and hashes...

Re: NATO reporting name VS GRAU

While I agree we could standardize across a faction, going from names like 1155.1 is much more difficult for your average player then Udaloy II when he has to do it for several hundred units per faction. I think the best course of action is to focus the easiest form of names for people to identify w...

Re: Autocannons

If there was a way Eugen could cap the 350m AP gain, which is where all units do 1 AP per shot regardless of the equation, then I'd support that. I don't want to see the equation changed though, because the system in place is incredibly effective for how simple and elegant it is, which makes it very...

Re: American Unit ideas for W:RD

Still want that MIM-115 on the M975 because they built more of them then like every other prototype in the game combined (well, not the M975 part), but I'll take whatever we get at this point.

Re: Soviet Units in W:RD

The light infantry design in wargame is generally just that intermediate ATGM with standard infantry weapons, so it'll very likely be a Metis with relatively regular weapons for the coming USSR light inf, Gornostrelki. Them getting an Igla or something in place of that would either make them cost wa...

Re: American Unit ideas for W:RD

It'd be a nice addition if you didn't have to pay for the capability, but since you do it'd just add a needless expense to what's already going to be pushing the limit of cost vs capability.

Re: My suggestions for the Bundeswehr in Wargame: Red Dragon

Just a good area of effect bomber would fill that hole for me, with PGrens being available for 20 points (w/ transport) and w/ the coming SF infantry, Germany can totally make due without them from my experience. I mean if they got some kind of Pioniere with them then great, but I'd be happier with ...
