Re: Taiwan and US vs China

The reinforcement process would begin with tomahawk and F-16CJ strikes from japan against Chinese SAM sites. Next up will be C-5s loaded with troops with escort from F-15Cs and F-15Js and more F-16CJs. C-5s land safely, troops on the ground. If no airstrip available, 101st Airborne will drop in. Be...

Re: Taiwan and US vs China

As you said, China would dominate the straits. This means Americans cannot reinforce (nor would they really fight China for the sake of Taiwan, IMO that is stupid). The advantage of the PLA ground forces over the ROC's is enormous too, as you've said. With that in mind, how is it possible for Taiwa...

Re: Taiwan and US vs China

How do you think it would go down? Who would win? Answer below! When, where and why? When? I'm guessing you're talking about today. Where? Links into the next one really. Why? I'm guessing you're thinking of a scenario where the PRC attacks Taiwan; if it were the other way around, I doubt 'Murica w...

Re: Type 85 and 90: decent quality Chinese tanks

Whilst it is reassuring to hear that China won't be relying on ZTZ-59, I think most of the community already knows that fact. The problem is however, that even though there are tanks heavier than ZTZ-59, they're still mostly weak tanks whose armor is not much more than that of a T-55. Not to mention...

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

Here's a topic from Baidu War Game Bar(a Chinese forum about wargame) about that ZTZ-99 is not in the RD : http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2854716773 Someone good at both Chinese and English can see this and translate it into English, as my English is not very good....... My favorite post from that topic:...

Re: Soviet Units in W:RD

seeing that arty is a much bigger deal in RD with much longer aim time, any chance we could get a CatC soviet arty prototype? Re: [Petition] China heavy tanks

I would change request from ZTZ-99 to 98, though there isn't a really huge capability difference between them (just aesthetic model).

Definitely signed though. ericdude88

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

Why is everyone being so doom and gloom with the ZTZ98? Was it confirmed to not be in? Would be nice to have, but isnt vital, i suspect China will be very well set for the maps, especially if terrain is featured well. Breadbox confirmed that in the Marshall forum, when he requested ZTZ-98 and 96 it...

Re: Type 85 and 90: decent quality Chinese tanks

yea... i just let them decide i rather have the j-10 than su-27sk, but oh well Me too. But they would probably never do J-10. In that case, I rather have ZTZ-96/98 over SU-27SK... So, If Eugen wants to make an exception (just like with the OH-1) ;) Much more justified than OH-1. OH-1 had its first ...

Re: Type 85 and 90: decent quality Chinese tanks

here is a question, why would the USSR sell refleks(and other tech) etc to china when it was leaning so much to the West that the USSR had been fighting? Eugen is very funny. They included ZTS-63A by accident, which was a 1996 Chinese amphibious light tank that could fire 105mm converted Bastion AT...
