Fixed. There appeared to be some data in a replay that wasn't what was expected and there wasn't proper handling for that.
There may be still a few bugs like that lying around, keep reporting them if you come across any.

Re: Wargame Tools site, it lives!

Fixed a bug with deck URLs (sometimes there was a slash character in the encoded deck string which messed up the link).

Once we get some replays in I think I'll take a stab at generating some fun live deck/unit statistics 8-)

Re: Wargame Tools site, it lives!

cool, thanks for your efforts, I did notice in Chrome when i clicked on a deck picture from a replay file it was cutting off the left edge of the deck unit display, might just be my system settings. Yeah it's a bit crude, if you have a low resolution screen it'll most likely cut off a bit as it sim...

Wargame Tools site, it lives!

Ok, so here it is. Didn't want to say anything until I actually got it up and running: http://rd.wargame.tools Featuring replays and decks. Follows the "keep it simple" rule, nothing fancy here but it does its job. You can anonymously upload replays just like it was with the RD beta replay...

Re: Cat B as a learning tool?

I don't see the point of this exercise. Cat B units perform worse - most of the time you'll be using Cat A units. Better show them straight away the power of the Magic Rafale and the might of the T-72BU. This game relies heavily on good high end unit use, teaching them to use second class units is n...

Re: Exaggerated availability of air power is negatively affecting this game

Air power is limited and vulnerable. Arguments relating to 10v10 can be thrown out of the window - it's not supposed to be a benchmark on how balance is supposed to work in any shape or form. From experience in 3v3 and 4v4 you can see various forms of heavy air play. Usually this is a calculated ris...

Re: R.I.P ACT OF AGGRESSION

Eugen has a habit of rolling out massive balance patches, I can't remember a single "oops, we need to fix this quickly" balance patch. I've never understood that policy but hey, it's their game so I suppose they know what they're doing. Personally I really don't understand that strategy as...

Re: Why has the Grom still not been looked at

My proposal, 40 accuracy to its gun? I agree, but it could also use an HE buff (given that it carried these rounds). Otherwise I'd take the ASU-85, which is available to airbourne as well. I think this is reasonable when tanks can have up to 4 HE.. And suddenly you have a pink unicorn that makes fi...

Re: Some news on the Wargame front ...

Thuringer Wald ! + TMI is probably a given. It looks like a pretty popular map, which would actually be improved by amphibious capabilities. Also, please, bigger maps, with lotsa flanking space. Like the old Highway. Not sure if Thuringer Wald would work well, we already have maps like Cliff Hanger...
