Re: Thoughts on infantry grenades

M203 HEDP armor penetration is given at 5cm RHA, so it is sufficient to damage light APC.
Maybe 2AP it will be enough to damage an enemy transport. Combined with an HE 2 and a stun effect against infantry, it will be a polyvalent weapon.

Re: Thoughts on infantry grenades

AT grenade (hand trowned or rifle grenade) are made to attack light armored vehicule (BTR, VAB, fuchs, M113...) not battle tank (except maybe by shooting the back of the tank, on the motor ...) and not waste true antitank round on light target. This is what I learn in the reserve. Give a best range ...

Re: the six days of allah hu akbar

Yes but this operation was to neutralized the AAA, so the IAF aircraft go straight on them. Combined with the intel failure (AAA has been relocated, sneaky buk...), and low flying above shilka...The result is know. Air penetration in Syria was made by Mediterranean sea or by Jordan to avoid the dens...

Re: the six days of allah hu akbar

Sure, but how far was that anti tank ditch? You would find the answer interesting. I don't have precise data but I've read that in certain area, breaching operations was compromise by early casualty in the pioneer team, so Israelis tankers have a free fire phase from prepared position on an enemy u...

Re: the six days of allah hu akbar

And don't forget that as the Golan front was critical to Israel (it was near the population centre of the country (Suez was way farther)), the Israelis send in almost all of their air force, with a lot of sorties (proximity of airbase), so some of the Syrian tank killed may be credited to the air fo...

Re: the six days of allah hu akbar

In certain source I have (more about the relative performance of the T62 and M60 in the Yom kippour war), I found a number of 250 Israelis tank knocked out in the Golan with about 150 send back to action after repair. Same source say 60% of the centurion returned to action after damage in the whole ...

Re: retreating units

And it's happening more (in my observation) since the last update. The third mission of the campaign is almost impossible for me due to troop moving in the open without order, even with no enemy in the area ??? You place your defence, made an attack on one of the spawn point and you loose troops bec...

My error, 20mm. Bur yes it hurt too.

Killertomato gave another correct reason, the range of phalanx is very limited and it is designed with a target coming straight on him so not a good choice for area defence.

Re: Supreme Jewish technological power

On their corvette, they have phalanx, but for ground defence there is a problem: 20mm shell fall back to the ground, so with the density of population in the israel/gaza border, you will save some people by intercepting several missile but kill more when shell fall back in a residential area... Ther...
