Re: WG4 decks + gameplay discussion

Well who said Wargame IV is getting rid of coalitions? Also there aint a one completely unviable nation in WRD unlike WEE or WALB. NK, ANZAC, Norway and Danmark have most handicaps, sort of unviable for 1vs1. And even NK is easy fixed if devs would want it. Their is no way to argue that minors shou...

Re: The Art of Soviet Airborne [Reboot Edition]

Got a few Plane related questions A plane with Exceptional Air Detection, what distance does it detect planes with Medium stealth? (Also if 'feels' like a Rafale has better medium stealth than others and can blindside my ASF.) Do SEAD planes all have the same detection distances of RADAR weapons whi...

Re: Heavy AA in 1v1: to pair or not?

Interesting to see what other respond with? Depending on the AA unit, I might have them in a pair. The reason I do it is to increase the chances of a kill, instead of 1 unit hitting twice in a row, you only need 2 hits from 4 shots if they were paired. However if the enemy is relentless will artille...

Re: How long are we going to pretend the SU27PU is either realistic or balanced?

It's not the SU-27 being unbalanced, it's that for some reason, the Soviet Union gets 3 cards of them which is kind of BS. Cards: 2x Su-27PU, 1x Su-27S, 1x Su-27M Is there any MiG-29 which has AT Missiles? (reference CnC MiG destroying tank  ) https://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/cnc/images/5/...

Re: Map: Strait to the Point (Why so popular?)

The description you did sounds like most warfare videogame trailers nowadays, maybe that's why people like it. when you mentioned trailers couldn't help but think of the BF2 Intro (i know it's old) is a bit like wargame you put a lot of effort in taking a town, you take it over, only to get hit by ...

Re: Thoughts on artillery mechanics and how to improve them

trying to catch up on a lot said, very pedantic about what an actual helo rush is, get some quick early recon, hold some points back, if rush is happening spawn AA? (i'm not pro) some ideas, although pretty much repeating whats been said in the last page or 2. - original base spawn, units were invul...

Re: WG4 decks + gameplay discussion

Some stuff I want: Veterancy overhaul - F&F weapons gain almost no bonus from veterancy (I.e. Hellfire), but are generally quite accurate. - GUID weapons gain a large bonus from veterancy (i.e. malyutka) - MCLOS weapons and certain GUID weapons are unaffected by ECM values. - Veterancy generall...

Map: Strait to the Point (Why so popular?)

Why is it such a popular map? I usually cba waiting on lobbies for ages, so I just join whatever lobbies are nearly full. So ignoring the usual Blufor stacking. to me, the map is very predictable Game Start: - Both side, spam an arty attack on main road. 1 person's army will get wrecked despite nume...

Re: Thoughts on artillery mechanics and how to improve them

Agree that'd I like a few more functions for artillery. my personal favourite, would be the ability to draw a line to smoke. Start point, End point, Confirm Example your arty has 8 shots, it would aim at each 1/8 on the drawn line. The shells wouldn't land perfectly due natural accuracy of the Arty....
