Re: m1a1m from Iraq

Ahh, I see it now BTR, thanks for that info. Wow, I guess they did it as homage to the fallen.

Re: m1a1m from Iraq

Yea, it can be hard to tell exactly what the tank is at that range with that video quality. I found this M1 video. The ammo is detonated, and there's camera's outide and inside the crew compartment so you can see the results. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay7bOG2nD6k vs. https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: Russo-Ukrainian War

To supplement LoneRifle's post, a video of Syrian TOW operators using it against a target.

I wonder if they got these from Saudi's?

Cold War 2.0 I guess. What a mess.

Re: m1a1m from Iraq

Geez, the next to the last photo, it actually looks like some sort of modern art work, fused seamlessly with the walkway. There's also a big procedure difference between say the M1 and a T-XX tank. If the M1 is hit, your supposed to stay inside for a bit, it's safer there, especially if the ammo is ...

Re: Russo-Ukrainian War

I'm sorry, was that supposed to say something positive for Russia's restraint? It certainly shows their unprofessional seamanship, and it also explains the poor condition of Russian Navy ships with that kind of abuse. It's called Shouldering, and was done in response to our Freedom of Navigation (F...

Man the experiences you guys had, you should write a book about all that.

It gets even better, or stupider depending how you look at it: http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/teenager-suffers-twitter-meltdown-after-making-joke-bomb-threat-to-american-airlines/story-e6frfq80-1226883366101 On Sunday afternoon, Sarah, who claims to “live 15 hours from the US”, seemed ...

Re: m1a1m from Iraq

That's one of the debates over there. Either choose to believe the snapshots implying that an SPG-9 is used in one case, or perhaps the ammo was defective, perhaps the Iraqi bustle is capable of actually defeating 500+mm HEAT penetration at that spot. Perhaps the Iraqi's are using the newer less fla...

Re: Railgun for Freedom

In this case yes, but there's a lot of other projects and systems where the companies do collaborate beyond the border so to speak, we're certainly not enemies. But we all do have our own proprietary systems that are respected and are kept within our various countries, and that goes for every defens...

Re: m1a1m from Iraq

frostyspooky, apparently from the info, it's not all RPG-29's in these attacks, or at least in most cases doesn't appear the attacks are from only or any actual RPG-29. There's one instance where it's supposedly an SPG-9 that hits the bustle, but causes no explosion. http://image.noelshack.com/fichi...
