Re: m1a1m from Iraq

LOL, speaking of butthurt, you should see the guys that are doing these attacks, it's a group called ISIS. There's questions being brought up to them about why they won't supply any videos of these attacks, instead only snapshots that don't tell the whole story, they are accused of hiding the fact t...

Re: Railgun for Freedom

Yea, defense industry stuff can get confusing. BAE is a British company, but in order for them to sell and create defense products in the U.S. They have to have their company facilities on U.S. soil, and all employees of the US based facilities also have to be U.S. citizens. As well, every part of e...

Re: m1a1m from Iraq

I found some more photos here. Looks like they survived the hits, even though hit in some vulnerable places. Mobility kills though. http://defenceforumindia.com/forum/land-forces/208-main-battle-tanks-armour-technology-463.html As of March 9th These are 3 different tanks. I have a reliable source th...

Re: m1a1m from Iraq

Looks like the ATGM actually hit the side turret bustle, not the front, the sheet of vertical flames in the third photo indicates the blow out panels working as intended. Guess they didn't want to stick around to photograph the 4 Iraqi's walking out of their tank. I'd like to see a video of this if ...

Re: Railgun for Freedom

Yea, I was surprised to see it being discussed as a land based artillery and ant-missile/aircraft system. I always thought it would be strictly a Naval mounted weapon.

Re: Railgun for Freedom

As far as targets, they seem to expect the round to fall out from 500,000 feet and come in at Mach 5. The info is in this overview of the system here: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/53925417/EM-Railgun-INP-Overview In this video, they are seriously discussing putting this on DDG-51's the Arleigh Burke ...

Re: Railgun for Freedom

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWZPp3aEjuM Wow, 7 seconds to reach the horizon, with higher muzzle velocity at the horizon than a standard gun at the muzzle. Looks like that round is setup for proximity airbursts, since in the video it's intercepting an anti-ship missile. As well as dispersing bom...

Re: The F35 saga is continuing on

They are actually talking about getting even more EA-18G's http://news.usni.org/2014/03/26/navy-wants-growlers-fight-deadlier-high-end-air-war The Navy’s director of air warfare told Congress Wednesday the service might want more electronic attack aircraft to effectively fight a high end joint air w...
