Personally I think NATO and PACT are missing a special infantry unit. The value of hand or grenade launcher delivered smoke as concealment is virtually nil. Firstly, it doesn't create much of a cloud, secondly, it disperses very quickly, thirdly, it is very dependant upon environmental conditions, plus, there isn't a lot of it carried. Are files checked for integrity by the server? Could I rename units locally and use those renamed units in any multilayer game? Seems to me there might not be and server side validation, the problem is if you modify a property of say a T80 on your file. This will not be reflected on everyone else l...

For modelling someone could use DXRipper to extract the game models, textures, animations straight out of the game (game needs to be run in DX9) and they could then change them.
