Re: Gameplay better or worse with cluster artillery part of

Getting a battery of BM-21's assigned to you for an offensive was actually quite likely for your typical Motor Rifle Regiment Colonel. Of course this is the same Army that in exercises 5% of Motor Rifle Battalion Majors found themselves with the ability to direct tactical nuclear artillery... This ...

Panzer, you realize who you are talking to, right?

Yeah but I'm at that weird point of ACAP where all this Army crap lodged in my brain has become more or less just trivia vs important to the rest of my life. Sharing it with the world sort of helps me get past that.

Re: Solo's Final USA Proposal

Afaik the LAV got removed as a transport since it wasn't actually used as a proper USMC transport in practice, just as a fire support vehicle (I suspect that this may not be correct and that it was for balance purposes, but if that's the case then I see no reason why it shouldn't be reverted). It's...

Re: Combat Mission - Black Sea

Well, I suppose one could always make scenarios with proper equipment in place without unicorn units and all. As far as I can see, most of actual units are in place, so that should be no trouble. Pretty much this. I did a lot of tank on tank fights with CMSF simply because I didn't have the patienc...

Re: Mig-29M

I miss broleg. It used to be a bright spot of my morning to see that someone out there thought pact machine guns should be 2 AP, stabilized and 5,000,000 RPM or something.

Re: Humvee for Marines campaign.

I think he's the interpreter though so he's only 3/5ths human in the eyes of your average CSM. If this was a later deployment like 2007 or so it'd be the CSM going hulkrage over eyepro and gloves though.

There's no axle. It's independent suspension. It's still overloaded as hell in the picture though.

Re: Combat Mission - Black Sea

No, actually it looks like the A-10s are going to linger for some time to come. It's actually turned into a political fight over here, the USAF wants to get rid of them to free up more funding for the F-35, the Army, Marine Corps and pretty much the rest of the department of defense is unconvinced a...

Re: Combat Mission - Black Sea

Perhaps it's the limitation of getting more advanced equipment with more value to Ukraine? Nah. Not to do my usual "THE MIGHT OF THE AMERICAN REPUBLIC WILL BLOT OUT THE SUN" but when I was in Korea, we could expect most of the not-stationed-in-the-pacific USAF to arrive in very short orde...

Re: Combat Mission - Black Sea

Yeah, fairly happy the US stuff is fairly accurate. Outside of the APS, it is all at least something that exists and is issued to someone, somewhere. Only pretty minor quibbles (the M7A3 doesn't exist, the nomenclature for the current fire observation Bradley is actually M3A3 BFIST as it's now regar...
