Re: AH-64A's purpose?

If the light-medium caliber rockets on helos could get a global acc buff, I think that would help a lot of struggling gunships like the Apache and Tigre. Hydras aren't too bad and SNEBs are beastly, the issue is you just don't get enough of them to make a difference, as well as it being way too ris...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

And the Longbow is more expensive than the Apache. It's not instead, it's as well, and the Longbow as a helicopter is really easy to kill. It would still be F&F, the Longbow isn't represented right now anyway. You can't do recon from behind cover, and you can't shoot multiple targets. You say t...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

Which is why it isn't worth as much as a superheavy. Optics and F&F give it offensive power by itself, but does not make the helicopter itself any faster or quicker to change direction. Armor doesn't stop superheavies from getting sniped by ATGM planes, and a 10pt squad of riflemen will die jus...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

Of course not, but it also shouldn't just be based off how much it can kill. And no helos are survivable in this game. A Longbow will flail just as much as an Akula will if you're trying to double back. It's already one of the most expensive helicopters in the game. If you're going off Trained accu...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

And it would be worth 4 HQ-7s. I don't think a unit's value should be based on how much of it's direct counter you can buy for the same price. You might as well never use helos or heavy tanks at all with that mindset. I can go positive it Motostrelki by OHKing a Leopard from the side. Doesn't...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

Would use and deserving of the price are two different things. I certainly wouldn't use it for that, it's far too easy to shoot down to bother spending that much. You'd have to kill a grand total of 2 T-72B1s to just about break even on a price nerfed longbow. That's easy if you use it well. Except...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

But it it worth as much as a superheavy? No. Entirely based on opinion. Personally, I'd keep using the longbow in it's current state even if it was 180, at 170 it would still be an excellent unit. You do realize...that...I said the Longbow never misses because of the ripple fire...right? 70% accura...

Re: How is RPG7?

I'm not sure why the RPG-7 is the standard basic RPG for REDFOR instead of the RPG-7V. It would be a pretty great buff for the lower end REDFOR inf that are usually lacking. Maybe stuff that's already good like mot-shutzen could be spared the buff, but for all the recon shock squads and line infantr...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

So you admit that you wouldn't really expect helicopters to do that very well in any situation? I only said I don't expect my attack helos to be spotting long range AA from 3km+ in the forests. It's still an undeniable advantage over every single other attack helo in game that the longbow is able t...

Re: AH-64A's purpose?

A. The Ka-52 is expected so see AA in cover from far away, and then a dedicated attack help can come in. Longbow puts all the eggs in one basket and sure it's cheaper but if it gets shot down, you lose both eyes on the enemy and the teeth to sink into them with. B. The Tunguska M deals with every s...
