Re: Phases in SD
They definitely need to find some way to get control of 10v10s. The quality of the gameplay is demonstrably less than the smaller game scenarios, but many people prefer 10v10s because they're easier to fill up and are maybe less pressure. But the end effect is that Wargame, which should be a deep an...

Re: Map Size - Is this a 4v4 or a 10v10?
From a horizontal standpoint you can get some idea of how much 'frontage' a player will get if you know the map-size. If it's a 10v10 the scale must be quite smaller than Wargame, whereas if it's a 4v4 it's only a bit smaller maybe.

Map Size - Is this a 4v4 or a 10v10?
http://www.warlegend.net/wp-content/uploads/Steel_Division_Normandy_44_Screenshot_02.jpg Take a look at the screenshot above. The map itself looks absolutely amazing from both a visual and a gameplay standpoint. There's open spaces, tons of cover, and many small villages/crossroads to fight over. Re...

Re: Division Designing/Editing
He said some divisions will have access to units and capabilities outside of their standard TO&E. For example, I know a Panzergrenadier Division (the 17th SS) at Normandy had a Fallschirmjager regiment attached to it during the campaign. Perhaps if the 17th SS were in the game that would mean th...

Re: Division Designing/Editing
The way I understand it is that you must choose a division to play as, and then you build a deck out of units available to that division. So if you're playing a 101st Airborne deck, you could theoretically change your deck to include more anti-tank assets, but only things that would have been availa...

Re: Phases in SD
If you add in the ability to create a bunch of restrictions and adjustments to settings, you are going to create a bunch of lobbies that go way off into the deep end for cheese. I'm not sure if you meant to disagree or agree with me, Orcbuster, etc. But I basically feel the same way. Wargame suffer...

Re: New anti-armor system ?
I hope they put a lot of testing and thought into the new system of stressing/panicking/surrendering and so forth. If the mechanic is implemented only to a reasonable degree, and is predictable, I think it could add a lot to the game and allow more asymmetrical engagements - i.e. you don't need a he...
