Re: Please consider a BTR-60PB/OT-TAB-71/SKOT-2A/OT-64A price buff

For clarity, my original post said the BTR-70 instead of the BTR-60PB but I edited it to name the proper unit. The BTR-70 needs a price buff as well, but it's not quite as egregious and the BTR-60PB is more apples-to-apples compared to the other transports mentioned in the thread. I wouldn't want an...

Please consider a BTR-60PB/OT-TAB-71/SKOT-2A/OT-64A price buff

Hello. The four vehicles I listed in the title (BTR-60, OT-Tab 71 , SKOT-2A and OT-64A ) are a family of extremely similar REDFOR infantry vehicles that feature fast movement speed, but have only 1 armor all around and a KPVT heavy machine gun. Right now they are all valued at 15 points, but I feel ...

Re: Wargame Feature/Mechanics Requests -(not unit balances!)

1. 'Weird' settings are already causing problems wherein people host games and choose suboptimal settings without knowing any better. Right now there's no guidance on 'recommended' or 'ideal' settings for lobbies, so having even more host discretion without addressing this issue would just exacerbat...

Re: 10vs10 in general

To be honest guys, the battle is already lost. Eugen's making a new 10v10 map - they know where their bread is buttered and it's with the casual junkfood-gameplay crowd that haunts the 10v10's to avoid being pubstomped. So much is borked about the game right now I don't even know where to start tryi...

Re: Paid DLC.. how it's working out?

-snip- The important thing in your comments is balance patches. For most of Red Dragon we've languished with months and months between patches, and when we did get them they were enormous, meta-altering bombs that were dropped and then mainly left to settle for more months. Even this most recent pa...

Re: Paid DLC.. how it's working out?

I'd actually argue that a dual approach would be ideal for all such eventualities. Have some minor freebies included to all players with the release of each nation dlc (single map, one or two units for an old nation) in order to keep up interest and assert that the DLC money isn't just going toward...

Re: Paid DLC.. how it's working out?

Yeah, I highly doubt we'll get paid dlc for existing nations. Free bonus as a part of a dlc launch sure. That would make a lot of sense and underlinw that its the nation you've paid for. I definitely support this position. I don't want them to add paid DLC for existing nations because then that wil...

Re: Paid DLC.. how it's working out?

To be honest, I actually think it's overdue. Everyone can feel that Red Dragon's development cycle has suffered as a natural result of the unpaid DLC model. I even remember in the months leading up to Red Dragon's release, the community's confidence in Eugen was actually really high and people were ...

Re: Paid DLC.. how it's working out?

My personal sense is that the DLC has been a success. Among my group of friends and acquaintances, virtually everyone has bought it and shown a positive attitude. I'd be worried if people were grumbling about it, or saying 'hell no, I'm not going to support them further until _____' but that hasn't ...

Re: 2,000+ people online and I can't find a game - the State of Wargame: Red Lobbysim

No it's not. Act of Aggression didn't pan out and doesn't have the makings of a successful new franchise. There are supposedly other games in development so we'll see how those are, but I can't imagine them not making another Wargame. There's too much demand from the fanbase not to make another one,...
