"Cold War Game" a "Wargme European Escalation" rip-off?

This has been circulating quite a few on various Wargame dedicated groups on Fb since yestarday.

The reddit group (https://www.reddit.com/r/wargame/commen ... l_trailer/) presents it as a sort of initiative taken by some of the most significant players of the wargame community ... aiming to become a resource that's tuned to players views, with ongoing support and development. That it exists at all is down to unpaid fans making efforts to realise it - over time it will become better than the original game based on expertise from players.

Is it a legit thing endorsed by Eugen?

Even if it 'borrowed' some of the ideas and mechanics, I hope they can introduce something new as well. In that case, I have zero problems with it and will give it a shot.
