Oh....I think I will check on the news more frequently now....

I think people should calm their tits on this one ;) . I don´t foresee anything conventional in this scenario. Beyond 810th naval infantry regiment becoming active. Их мало но они в тельняшках блеать!

I think, there won't be any armed operation. Now Crimean parliament initiates referendum for "upgrading status of authonomy". Crimea can obtain additional independence level.

Send the French and British up there, Crimea is an old stomping ground. Maybe the Ukrainians and Crimeans will unite then?

TBH nno one expected the 080808 war

I think Putin wants the Ukrainian government to recognise its interests before going for a military solution

Putin is a top-level troll though  . We have "readiness" check-up in Western and central military districts.

yeah, a conflict would be very much to close to comfort for more than one NATO nation too... Russia will use diplomacy (in one way or another) to make crimea indipendent or subjegated to Russia.

I don't think Russia dares to go in with their own military, as the risk of having half of NATO isntantly go HATO on them (terrible pun)..

But heck would it make for a good WW3 "What if scenario" a'la Wargame :) .

Current NATO is big political gimmick with a small European force comprising of as many political agendas as there are members.
