Actually, I've been searching for pictures or drawings of the setting I had in mind, but couldn't find any. Obviously, you are right, and the roundels will have to go ...

And this is the time when those modellars magazines with camo shemes and decals are come in handy. Not that I' ve used them anytime.
But most of the time they are useless and overpriced

Citadel paints are any good?

My 6mm Napoleonic Spanish army, in a more advanced state.
I'm almost done with the first (infantry) division. :)

You should see how much it has expanded since those last pictures ... ;)

But although I've indeed devoted quite some time, it isn't as time-consuming that one might imagine. The lower the scale, the fewer details there are. The rendering is more in a "general feeling" than accurately patined details.

Nice work on your camo! :)

Ha! I have no doubts. 8-)
Well, I devoted 13 days on this baby . Yup, that's true with this scale. But You have to put more effort to paint sufficiently, those the most exposed details, like hats or rifles. Nevertheless, you have to be quite precise with those litte ones, even with general paiting.
Thanks, I like this Us camo the most. Others are quite meh.
