Well, it was an actual path to peace in Syria. Too bad opposition's real masters overseas don't care at all about peace and prosperity in far away banana republic (another example of "there is no Santa").

There are reports from both Pro Rebel and Pro Regime sources that the IDF went for a stroll in Syria.

They are saying it's a rescue operation against the Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade who are believed to have captured either a civilian or military aviator. Also some reports say that Assad forces and Hezbollah staging areas got hit anyway. Sort of a just for laughs thing by the IDF.

The biggest issue is that Russia isn't the party that can negotiate for Assad. Iran is paying the bills. Every time there has been a cease fire it has been brokered through mediation in Turkey between the opposition groups and Iran.

I mean let's analyze the logic of this.

Russia and Assad's preoccupation has been with bombing rebels that have nothing to do with the Islamic State. Russia claims to bomb IS, but most of the targets are confirmed to be nowhere near IS territory. Syria then, with Russian support, launches a ground offensive that runs into countless TOW ambushes and fizzles out.

Now, since Russia has shown since day one that their main target is the FSA fighting Assad and not the IS and them lying about it (badly) to the world the entire time, why in the living hell would anyone except a brainwashed nincompoop believe that Russia is going to suddenly, days after trying to annihilate them, support their biggest enemy in Syria?

Obama is many things but he's not a moron. Anyone can see what a ridiculously obvious ploy this is.

"Yes, yes, Mr. President. Please share with us all of the rebel positions that we were trying to destroy 10 minutes ago, we'll be sure to drop inaccurate bombs kalashnikovs, rations, and ATGMs for them right away. "
