Someone should really tell Merkel that broom handles aren't all that effective as a weapon.

Germany is about the economy and the budget surplus now. Has more sway in the elections.

It pisses me of that NATO is full of free loaders who are taking advantage of others willing to put their money into it frankly if they can't do 2% they should get out

as a US American, i am fine with subsidizing some of these members as i have no expectation that their economies can support a meaningful fighting force (eg if your country can only handle a division, i'm not expecting you to give up an arm and a leg to maintain it, we can work around that). i am only against it if they badmouth us in return ;-) but it is ridiculous certain larger members, yes.

It's all about pulling your weight the Poland and co are Germany and Belgium ect are not
