Considereing the fast decline of common sense in our society today its not a far streetch to believe that everybody will be a moron in 70-80 years.

You mean in USA?

Or that you would have a russian/chinese stealth battlecruiser with crew observing zer drama and eating popcorn?

It is not USA in Prometheus. It is Weyland Industries. So it will not be russian\chinese stealth battlesruiser. It will be Gazprom

I meant than in addtion to Wayland Industries ship Prometheus there would be russian/chinese stealth battlecruiser, who's crew would sit back and enjoy the show.

Yuri Mihairokov

You have to admit those series were great (for space anime).

I am a fan of Planetes.
Also we'll call Sasha from 2012, he will be a good pilot too.

i dont believe the film is complete yet. theatrical version suck always. and iam convinced there is a whole load more to be seen on the 11/10/12 or 10/11/12 if you are so inclined.

Also there is strong rumour of a meeting between RS and JC during the concieving of prometheus regards what will come next, also with strong reference to Thus Spoke Zarathustra, The eternal recurrance of the same, what happened before will happen again and on many levels i suspect. let the empty plot be filled i say. and in a radio interview ridley stated if he could he would be inspirational to the count of 3 movies.

Finally got to see this last night and was disappointed. I'm pretty hard on movies though...

On the plus side
- Not CGI overkill

Hummm..maybe that's it...

Downside
- Cliche characters
- Muppets are more realistic than some of the creatures
- Unanswered questions just opens the door for a squeal
- Almost no weapons
- Scientist acted like total retards
- Some scenes set-up for "shock" factor but defied logic
- No gore
- Felt empty and as if the trailers were more interesting
- A few others but I don't want to post spoilers

All in all, glad I had free passes...

I didn't really go into the movie thinking about a gore-fest or even a horror fest. I knew it would be mainly about the mythology around alien, which it was. The acting could have been WAY better and there actually was not a lot of action, but i do think the tone was just right and the visuals were stunning for the most part. Im one of those people who likes unanswered questions. I don't like being spoon-fed everything, which this movie definitely does not. Not for everyone, yes. For people who were interested in finding out more about the alien species and even W/Y corp. itself.. interesting movie.
