T-14 has the ability to destroy radical islam, as any russian equipment or formation has when it is reinforced by a paradroppable chappel with radical orthodox christianity.

Challenger 2. If the T-55 "spam" really wins, it's time for a new tank for the UK

Well Armata is in 50-55t category, and even then it enjoys lower ground pressure than T90A. With the engine that you could get to 2200hp (1500hp nominal mode) it should be pretty mobile.

So in the event of Russian direct intervention on a larger scale, what kind of equipment could we expect to see in use on the ground?

BTR-82 is a given. T-90? T-72B3? Artillery/support systems, and ECM/ECCM stuff?

Probably some more BDMs and VDV stuff, plus modern tube and rocket artillery systems (don't leave home without it).
When in doubt blame UGBEAR.

I wouldn't count on them doing much more than making a defensive ring around Assad's stronghold. I would guess that they wouldn't go on the offensive, more like just beat back any attacks and then watch the different factions fight it out amongst themselves.
