This is made by Azov affiliated group, not the people who make the BM Oplot-T. Previously that group produced a "heavy APC/IFV" prototype for Azov, this tank proposal is based on that prototype.

Before Azov that group was known for designing the T64E/BMP-64 combo (prototypes only), which could be found here:
http://razorpix.ru/s/21/bmpt_64_mashina ... 8x1614.jpg
The idea was a solid one - to make fairly competetive in terms of stats and most importantly cheap vehicles out of the T64B/BV stocks that could not find much in terms of export customers (unlike the modified T72s and newly built T80UD with T80UD derivatives).

Azov, being the semi independent structure it is, has a strong desire to procure its own AFVs, as he state that it is formally subordinated to is rather reluctant to supply the AFVs.

I know, but they spend ages making Azovec and it's still not as deep modernization as the T.rex.

Azov plans to make 10 of them per month, which is quite impossible with their facilities. Making more T-64BMs is more sane, considering what they have and what they can afford.

Modern tank and weapons systems as done by Iran:

Based on the date and time snapshot ( set at 1395 1:25 ) it's from today, but the 1394 might mean it's recap of a report from last year.

D-M, actually it doesnt look at all strange.

You would use such systems for the mobile CPs, ie you move to the area you wish to defend and entrench that thing in there. A towed version may have been more sensible though.

It would be OP in wargame.

Azov's new T-64 is interesting. They'll probably build one.
