That thing in front of the stadium. It looks a bit well illegal by Russian law if you catch my drift.

He ain't gonna be around for the Qatari World cup because he knows it's going to be awful. Sticking around long enough for Russia to fatten his coffers some more then he bails.

He is also 79. He may literally not be around for Qatar.

Apparently South Africa is downright depressed at learning they too bought the World Cup. They were so proud that they got it based on their sportsmanship and whatnot... apparently it was the whatnot that did it for them. Saw some street interviews and people were pretty mad. Also saw some of their paper headliners and they were quite dejected.

Overall it is pretty strange though, considering the vast majority of people not only thought it was about time an African nation got it, and that South Africa pulled it off. Better than Brazil in fact which is saying something. So if a very deserving place like South Africa had to bribe, I think we can confirm what we have all expected, that everyone bribes.

The saga continues. And yes, everyone bribes to an extent at this level, but I get the feeling that the USA felt insulted and cheated when it's bribes of "legal" ways to make money by giving FIFA control of say merchandising etc, was outbid by some straight up "Here take this 2 million dollars now no questions asked."

A 2 million dollar bribe to FIFA is an insult. You give them a few million and you will get blocked till the end of time. Do you expect the world's most corrupt sports governing body that presides over the most lucrative sport to live on pennies ?
