Equifax executives took decisive action after discovering a massive data breach by... selling off just under 2 millions dollars in stock three days after discovering the breach. It took 40 days before they informed the public.

It is stuff exactly like this that I just don't understand libertarians. Such an utter joke of a philosophy. They just assume that market forces dominate everything without being able to accept the reality that the same people affecting market forces are the people trying to seperate you from your money. It is like refusing to see any doctor not sponsored by tabacco companies then wondering how you could have gotten lung cancer.
Yes im aware my grammar and spelling are dreadful. Email complaints to android for having terrible software or eugen for having a mobile unfriendly site.

Libertarianism is too big. You have basically what are neo-fuedalists(ancaps), closet republicans, mislead centrists, socialists(left liberatarianims). You cant have society without organized government and social contract and even the founding fathers knew you needed taxes to provide MUDROADS, bridges, and schools.
As far as common ancap goes, people seem to believe that someone would have done it already. I doubt some venture capitalist is going to fund a super highway unless it some how benefits him/her. As far as most people are concerned they will probably think someone else will build a road out of their own pocket. Especially when they are profit driven, people tend to cut corners. A libertarian built bridge scares me, since I imagine they probably cheaped out on materials and cut a lot of corners like not putting on safety rails and used poor construction techniques.
>but competition will build a better bridge
You know, there comes a point where you cant compete. If you ever played open ttd, if someone has a well placed bridge that gives you the fastest travel time and gets you close to your location fast enough, someone is going to use it. Plus there is no government in their feudal world, there is nothing from stopping said bridge owner from controlling/owning the land adjacent to his/her bridge. Other than that, anarcho capitalism just seems to be a way to revive feudalism.
The American Libertarian Party keeps advertising itself as centrist party by saying their fiscally conservative and socially liberal. However when you get to know your average libertarian, most are just diet republicans without the religion. Conservative socially and financially seems to be a more accurate description. Which why I left that sinking ship after realizing what a joke it all was.
I cant really comment on left libertarianism, other than they seem to be socialists.
I imagine most libertarians will become neoliberals/neoconservatives, fascists, or tankies once they get older and realize their ideology isn't edgy enough.

It is amazing how many idiots see "Irma downgraded to Cat 3 storm" and are 1. talking about it like its a joke and, 2. Didn't read past the headline (or in many cases, didn't finish reading the headline) to realize that it is supposed to re-intensify to a Cat 4 before landfall.

A bit warm for just swimming to me. That's more like a hot tub to me.

How can we piss off a lot of people and cause even more kids who actually pay attention to start screaming about "Communism > Capitalist" guys?
Wait, I got it... hold my beer.

My aunt and uncle who have their retirement home down near Naples are stressing the hurricane big time. Only thing I had to say to them when I talked to them briefly yesterday was "what was your logic for getting a place in hurricane land?"

You know a hurricane is gonna be bad when states disappear and/or get relocated in the process.
RIP North Carolina.
