When I hear the words support communism, I think of people who played all the red alert games and worship Stalin. When the word anarcho gets thrown, I think of edgy teens standing on top of a smashed up bus wearing all black and che guerva t-shirts throwing molotovs and condemning the rich while smashing up mom&pop shops while patronizing Starbucks and Mc Donald's. American culture is basically self centered, and I doubt majority of socialists think of helping others before themselves. ANTIFA reflects this attitude well considering the majority of their vanguard are middle class white male brocialists. These guys are just a few more bad days away from becoming ironic tankies.

The KKK, the white nationalists, fascists, neo-confederates, and neo-nazis are all scum. The US needs immigrants to survive, they bring new ideas, good food, and fill the jobs we are too lazy to do. Plus libertarians and ancaps fail to understand you need government, taxes, and social contract if you want to maintain a peaceful way of life.

Besides a love of authoritarian ideologies, violence, hating western democracy, and hating the jews, I would say both groups have ignorance in common. Since for the far right many of the industrial era jobs simply don't exist anymore and they live in places with limited work and crumbling communities , they take their problems out on the immigrants and the politicians who they think have abandoned them. For the far left, there is tons of automation which means fewer jobs, and increasing costs of living which will make it harder for them to maintain their life style whether it be going from middle class to low class, or low class to inescapable poverty/having nothing.

Dude...hate to break it to you, but opinion pieces that border on being a polemic arent a good source...

That poor, innocent, "free-speech ralley" had scedueld speeches. The speakers were, Augustus Sol Invictus Yes, the dude changend his name to that larpey Bullshit a literal fucking eugenicist and holocaust denier, Jack Posobiec, conspiracy theorist and professional dipshit, and of course, Cool Branch Dude, Kyle Chapman...none turned up, but thats besides the point...

Any ralley that provides a platform to a goddamn eugenicist is asking to be shut down...

"Some people have to be prevented from reproducing." is not an opinion. Its nothing to be debated, its a straight up threat.

Hence not a single step better than SA brownshirts.

The SA did a lot of things that are way worse than "attacking people with/for differing opinions".
Pick up a history book maybe, so you can stop making that tone deaf comparison all the time.

Regardless of my opinion of Anti-Fa, I think they are a few steps above murdering literally hundreds of people.

Yeah, ANTIFA is violent and a bunch of law breakers, but genocidal? No. Trying to put them on the same pedestal as the KKK or Nazis is just pure wat.

Well theoretically the United States practices free speech to the max. Hence why even those Neo-Nazi scum have the right to peacefully gather and protest for their "opinion". On that particular gathering, the announcement of Neo-Nazis to attend despite not being welcomed by the organizer is apparently enough to deny everyone who planned to attend their right to assembly. Be it yourself or Antifa for that matter. Interesting view of democracy.

By that definition, calling for the murder of Bundeswehr soldiers because they are supporters of the system isn't an opinion either and an outright threat. And yet people still see Antifa as an organization somehow defending democracy against the evils of fascism. And German army personal still is under danger of being beaten up or worse when encountered by Antifa scum while wearing uniforms on their way from and to barracks.

Oh boy, the old pick up a history book argument. But you are right, maybe I should have listened a bit better during lectures on Soviet and Communist history to understand that communist organizations only want the best for the people and defend us against fascism. And maybe I should have read more carefully about NKVD, MGB and hail Dzerzhinsky or Beria for their heroic fight against the evil powers of capitalism and democracy fascism. Maybe remember that people can have a different interpretation of history than your Marxist lead one.

Honestly, for me both are nothing but violent political groups with the goal of a totalitarian system. Both brownshirts and Antifas primary goal was/is to silence political opposition by use of direct violence. And US Antifa already voiced their goal of "liberals getting the bullet too", so the murder of literally hundreds of people isn't far off and only restricted by the harsh response that would follow by the democratic state.

For their future goals: Whether they call(ed) for fascism or communism as a replacement of the current system doesn't matter the slightests to me, as both systems produced/would again produce millions of dead people. And whether you kill people out of religious and racial reasons or for having the wrong class standpoint again doesn't matter to me.

Also, people calling the argument of racial aspects really makes me giggle when used to differentiate between fascism and communism. So many forget the deportation and murder of national minorities as a result of the minority policies in the USSR. Heck, iirc Ukraine even recognizes the deportation of Chechens during the Soviet rule as a genocide.

Civilians who uses violence unprovoked* are criminals no matter what they belive, or what motivation they have for using it.

People who thinks that other people should be killed because they look, think, smell different or have different sexual preferences (etc etc etc) are people who's brain cavity is filled with human waste, and it doesn't matter what they call themselves, dress themselves or think of themselves.

A "shithead" can be a criminal, but he doesn't have to, likewise a criminal can be a "shithead" but he doesn't have to be.

All of ANTIFA is for a totalitarian system? Sources please.

100% this. The bits about people judging others about pointless things is important as well, but the use of violence especially needs to be highlighted.

As far as I can tell, they are decentralized group that anyone can join, but then again so are the so called "arayan nations" and fascist groups. However one of their twitters they claim to be communists. They are also edgelords.

Again though, decentralized group that anyone can join on the fly. Could be alt-righters. The Berkley antifa avatar is pretty ironic since I'm pretty sure that's the symbol of the social democrats, since the 3 arrows refer to the 3 enemies of democracy(monarchy, communism, fascism).

Until ANTIFA starts building gulags or alt-right memers start building death camps, I'm just going to consider them both as violent posters who follow failed ideologies.
