How do you get smuggle 10 firearms inside a casino  ?!

And by the sound/looks of it we're talking at least one long caliber AR...

You know things have gotten ridiculous when the security inside New Vegas casinos, a dystopian casino town in post apocalyptic USA vidyagame is better than actual Vegas, Nevada casinos...

This is horrible, Mandalay Bay needs to provide some answers here.

P.S: And yes I do know one can disassemble firearms in order to conceal them and reassemble them in his room after smuggling those, but still...

With the sheer amount of ammunition and weapons I am surprised someone didn't notice something. Least he didn't bring some bombs with him

Plus a sledgehammer or large mallet, he had to break those windows somehow in order to get a clear shooting position, and I don't think throwing the suite's furniture at them would cut it...

But, well Nevada has no gun laws whatsoever, so maybe they noticed but didn't care...

Vegas is full of guns. People go there to shoot all the time. He probably just told them.

I love all the idiots who have been claiming "if only it wasn't a gun free zone, this wouldn't have happened!"

Twice today I had a "discussion" with people about the whole mess. My one question? "So how is your pistol, or maybe even AR-15, going to help against someone in a superior position when you have zero idea where the shooter is?" Followed by if they kept trying to act smart: "for bonus points, how do you make sure how someone else with a gun, like a cop, doesn't mistake YOU for the shooter?"

You've never been to Vegas before, have you? Do you realize how much stuff goes on in Vegas? As others have said, plenty of guns there to begin with as well.

Also...

HRC needs to STFU and stop being the "most qualified candidate ever." Fucking idiot.

Nope, never been there and never will, not interested one bit in Vegas' main activities and attractions.

Still, NYT now reports that the police declared the pensioner had a whole arsenal:

In his hotel room, the suspect had at least 20 rifles, two on tripods at the windows, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, an official said

So, it's double of what I tough, yikes that's a lot of baggage with guns he obviously was helped by a porteur/bellboy.

He was a Nevada local, so yeah KillerTomato and you are right, I guess it's normal over there and he just said he was going to a shooting range/competition. I'm still baffled about the whole thing tough, you can freely move around with 20+ firearms and ammo to match :?

So what's the NRA's talking line right now ?
The only way to stop a bad guy with a rifle in a hotel roof is with a good guy with a rifle on another hotel roof?
Or did they bring a fresher talking point this time

Yeah Nevada's a class 3 state.. transferable full auto is legal, AP ammo is legal, suppressors are legal.. All provided you pay the hefty price tag and the tax stamp..

Considering the cunt had such an arsenal of full auto firearms we're left with 4 ways he got em all

1) Dude's loaded and dropped tens of thousands on firearms

2) He is/was an arms dealer and had dealer sample weapons

3) Bought em black market style, illegally..

4) bought civi versions and converted them with illegal parts

He was described as a non gun guy, your average joe with no arrests or record.

Motive is yet to be released or be known at all. I'm predicting he had the urge to kill people for no reason due to due a manifesting mental condition.

That was my initial thought when I heard he was a retiree in a "home"

That he had started suffering from dimentia and just sort of snapped, thing is this all seems too smart to be a snap moment, the hotel vantage point, the venue, everything seems far too premeditated and meticulously planned

People just want to screech "CALL HIM A TERRORIST" even though he may well not have a political motive behind all of this.
