It is a damn shame. Very few A-7s or F-14s left, was only able to spot a single F-111 and a single F-106. Lots of F-15, F-16, and F/A-18 "newcomers".

Oddly enough there are single examples of the A-3 Skywarrior, F-101 Voodoo, and F-100 Super Saber still hanging around. Potential museum donations maybe?
When in doubt blame UGBEAR.

That or just not on the list for the chop chop smelt bit yet.

A lot of the time that's to dispose of equipment so folks who use it (Iran) can't get parts. Not like anyone's still flying Voodoos.

Chopping up those birds now would be a tragedy. Lets at least hope they're still around for some other reason.

My jaw literally dropped when I saw those 18 B1s...

If I had the space I'd try and buy a F4 cockpit...or one from any 3rd gen plane really...I'm sure the wife would be ok with that in the backyard....

That one Delta Dart (I think that's what it is) is pretty cool too!

The Delta Dart was a great aircraft, last of the true Air Force interceptors. Yet even in its old age it was quite the performer at high altitudes.
When in doubt blame UGBEAR.

I visited there a while back, the tour guide said they destroyed all the F-14s except for one, so they never get sold to Iran for spare parts. The older aircraft like the F-106, etc. are just there for the "road of fame", where they have one of every plane stored there.

Eh, after seeing vehicle "grave yards" of Iraq and Kuwait, with M1s missing turrets and MRAPs blown in half, and knowing that there's "ghost fleets" of all sorts of ex-Navy toys floating about, this doesn't really phase me.

Think you have what it takes to enlist into the military? You sure about that?
