Nvidea has a lot of control in a the market. Especially with physX and other technologies they do not share while ATI will make mantel and other techniques usually more open sorce meaning nvidea cards usually will be better developed for especially games like metro.

AMD is claiming two RX 480 run better than one 1080s, is more efficient and cheaper. They benched marked them both with Ashes of the singularity and it did get more FPS. It was pointed out that the 1080 was doing less work rendering AOTS daring this test then it otherwise would have if it's shaders were working correctly.

are the 1080s overpriced or their drivers don't optimize the cards fully yet? AMD has good cards, but the issue always lies when a developer develops the game with Nvidea more in mind than AMD cards.
