Kind of afraid that this will lead to a huge increase in xenophobia and a big divide in Europe.

As if the Eastern European countries will give a flying shit about this ruling. But yes, many of them will rather fight the EU and risk a divide than to take in migrants at this point.

Canada wants to buy second hand hornets, seems odd to replace a worn out jet with a worn out jet but Canada is well known to be incompetent when it comes to military purchases.

Canada is looking at replacing its worn out cf18 with worn out Australian fa18 instead of super hornets. Have to say Canada just seems unable to make a sensible military procurement everything seems to be arse first and when it goes wrong it's never their fault.

If Canada wants a non f35 (and Boeing) jet it's got 3 options Typhoon, Rafale and gripen. But let's be serious they are going to cock it up regardless what they pick.

Yeah, I was in the middle of proctoring an exam when I saw that. I showed the headline to my co-proctor, who is a retired RCAF pilot, and he had to do everything in his power not to scream.

So Israel was flying over Lebanon, 2 f15s. Not sure if this is confirmed downing. However that would be the first f15 lost in a combat situation, I heard of.
