While I don't think we're likely to see a Pakistani faction or indeed any further factions for Wargame: Red Dragon we all live in eternal hope. I don't have a lot of time to spend on Pakistan these days but I'd be very happy for any information you dig up about the Pakistani armed forces in the 80s and early 90s. I'd especially like to have suggestions for infantry units and names, it's often the most difficult thing to do for a nation proposal in my opinion because the names of military units have a cultural connection that you need to be immersed in the culture to understand.

Well to start it off, its a conventional professional army having all Arms.
Infantry Units:
1. Punjab Regiment
2. Baluch Regiment
3. Frontier Force Regiment
4. Sind Regiment
5. Azad Kashmir Regt
6. Northern Light Infantry Regt

All these above units are on a standard format of a Standard Infantry Battalion
With main weapons as H&K G3, SMG Chinese 7.62mm (chinese AK), MG3, RPG-7's

Anti Tank Versions may incl
TOW or TOW II's
HJ-8's (Baktar Shikans)

Then you have your Armored Regiments
1. Cavalry Regts
2. Lancer Regts
3. Horse Regts

Tanks in Pakistan Army till 90's were
Type 59-II
Type 69-II ( Modern Versions also aval, with almost 52 or so upgrades now called Al-Zarrar, 125mm smoothbore gun and extra armor etc)
Some Legacy Tanks like M48, M24's, M4's, Also pakistan bought some 200 odd T-55's from serbia.
Type 85IIAP ( Same as ZTZ 85's)
MBT 2000's (Al-Khalid)
T-80 UD's (Mind you the only thing different from the regular T-80Us, is the change of engine and non avalibility of ATGM's)

Air Force
F-16 Block 15's
Mirage III's and V's ROSE upgraded etc
F-7M and F-7MG's
A-5 Fantan
F-6 Farmer
F-86 Sabre
F-104 Starfighter
Mig-15's as well, as trainers, but can be fitted with regular glide bombs
T-37's

Helicopters:
Cobras AH1 F/S both
Pumas
Mi-17
Even a few captured Mi-24's ;) (for the spice factor)
Sea King
Alouette as well
UH 1H's
Bell 412 and 206

Special Forces are 3 kinds:-
Special Service Group (SSG) Army
Special Service Wing (SSW) Air Force
Marines SSG (Navy)

These can be given Assault Rifles, Along with MG3's and RPG's
SSW Maybe given Mistrals, Iglas or strelas (chinese versions), Redeye, RBS 70s

Air Defence
Crotale,
LY-60's/FD-60/PL 10's,
HQ-7's
S-75 Dvina
BUK missile system (chinese Version called the HQ-16)


Rest? uh?
APC's are mostly M113 apcs, fitted with either .50 Cals or ATGMS
Also there are these indiginous APC versions.
Talha - APC
Maaz - Fitted with Baktar-Shikan anti-tank missile firing unit (HJ-8)
Mouz - Fitted with RBS 70 surface-to-air missile firing unit
Sakb - Command vehicle.
Al-Hamza - Infantry fighting vehicle ( With an auto canon 20mm)

Arty
