A few of his comments on aircraft characteristics are a bit misinformed, but other than that it is really good so far.

Yup, and while their characters are quite different from the show, their interaction is rather similar.

If Caesar truly wrote it (or rather dictated it), it is truly amazing. He certainly had a gift with words.

I own and have read Tcherkassy & Koursk.
Jean Lopez is indeed a must-read about WW2 East Front battles.

I can see why the books (and the excellent movies) are not very popular any more due to the locals of Arrakis beeing a bit like Jihadists .

Yeah, Sci-fi literature, sure. But it totally vanished out of the mainstream media/knowledge.

When is the last time you have seen a Dune Movie on TV?
