A sci-fi novel by Christophe Lambert (unrelated to Highlander's main actor).

It is about journalists time-traveling to D-Day for a TV show in the future. But despite strict orders not to interfere, they happen to change history ...
Fun reading.

So it's a book version of that film were a stealth went back in time

Since a Kickstarter trailer was made for an animated movie adaptation, better let it introduce the world:

I haven't gotten back to it in a while so I'm still only about 1/4 in to it so take this with a grain of salt.

It's good but pretty light as Walter compiled correspondence, letters and reports (plus known facts I'm guessing) to put the book together. It's the difference between a tour-guide book describing the architecture of the Louvre vs an actually architect publication doing the same job. I've even chucked a few times so far...

He puts more humanity into it too rather than just a clinical battle AAR. So yes, if you like that kind of thing then yes it's good...

But it might be a bit too fluffy for someone with your area of study and background...

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman

really realistic, and pretty disturbing if you think about it.
NEXT TIME I SEE A DAMN FLAMEWAR INVOLVING DARTH-LAMPSHADE, FROSTPOOKY, LONERIFLE, FADE2GRAY, TROTSKYGRAD AND/OR ANYONE INVOLVED IN A DISCUSSION BETWEEN THEM I'M GOING TO HAND OUT BANS TO ANYONE USING ANYTHING LOOKING REMOTELY LIKE AN AD-HOMINEM

Just bought the Jim Corbett omnibus
it takes balls to take on a maneating tiger or leopard alone in its territory especially when some of these animals had accounted for over a hundred individuals
