The Future of War: Power, Technology and American World Dominance in the Twenty-first Century (9780312181000): George Friedman, Meredith Friedman.

George Friedman doesn't always get it right, but this book is spot on. He is a bit of a visionary and I am always interested in what he has to say, even if I sometimes don't agree 100%. I agree with most of his thoughts regarding geopolitics, of which he is more than expert. It is his profession even before he became an author.

Future generations will refer to this book - that is how much of a landmark it is on the topic of war. I would put it alongside Clausewitz's seminal work "On War", in importance. I consider myself very fortunate to have discovered it. A good book is not always one that you agree with - it is one that makes you think.

I often read communist books (Carl Marx, Lennin) not because I am a communist. Far from it. I read these books because my views are exactly the reverse. They make me think... and with every book I have read I have learnt something. No-one is completely wrong. I have discovered some truths in communist literature. Its my personal interpretation and analysis of these truths that makes me differ from them. I view the same truths, and come to different conclusions.

After watching the movie Warsaw '44 lately, I realized I didn't know much about that battle. So I'm reading about it now:

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan...
I need to finish this book, I am so excited to see the movie as it seems promising.
