Excellent book, recommend following up with Sea harrier over the Falklands a maverick at war and Scram!

Be advised Mr Sharkey Ward is considered more of a divisive pain in the arse now often trying to pit navy and air force against each other, he also pissed off the RAF when he complained that they didn't let him off their transport plane first when it arrived back in the UK apparently they were too busy unloading the wounded.

Begining :

An alternate hist where Napoleon suddenly decided pursuing the Tsar's troops in Russian wasn't such a great idea and that his title kinda sucked and embraced republican and liberal ideals.
Fast forward in 1945, Europe is now a huge federation that span from the iberic peninsula to vladivostok and is being invaded by Chinese nazi bliztkrieging throught syberia and kazakhstan.

It's pretty cool, well put, the first 80 pages are boring asf and the author can't write a dialogue that isn't just the current MC saying some smart stuffs while the other character are just there to do follow up calls for the MC to pile on more smart stuffs. Other than that it's detailed and fun to read. And the covers of the various edition and volume are awesome :

:D
Uk is basically Murica's lapdog and the US is a major and terrible trade partner profiteering from the previous wars with the Chinese by forcing the European federation to accept stupid peace deals and giving away tech as payment for their colossal debt.
Of course, the US market is completly closed to foreign goods and investments.

Thought it should be noted that most US citizen descent from the various nobility and royalists that flew the old europe so there is still defiance toward the federation even thought it all happened 200 years ago. That may explain this.

Then again, they may have a bigger role later in the story.
