Wargame AirLand Battle: a battalion of new screenshots!

Postby Freki » Wed 7 Nov 2012 11:29

Development of Wargame: AirLand Battle goes on in the best conditions for French studio Eugen Systems. Today, they mark a short pause to unveil 6 new screenshots of the sequel to Wargame: European Escalation, the real-time strategy game which quickly became one of the new reference in the genre for both critics and players.

With Wargame: AirLand Battle, Eugen Systems is getting ready to give the series a whole new dimension, with the massive arrival of improvement and spectacular new features.

While European Escalation’s powerful engine made a huge impression, Wargame : AirLand Battle marks an important step forward in graphics, which can be seen in today’s screenshots. The new version of the IRISZOOM Engine™ displays from afar and up-close impressive details and, for the first time, realistic relief directly reproduced from satellite images.

With the integration of air forces and a huge fleet of more than 150 crafts of all kinds, and more than 200 new ground-based combat units and vehicles, commanders from all around the world will have one of the most comprehensive libraries of arsenal ever created in a video game. Can the connoisseurs spot the American A-10 Thunderbolt II "Tank-killer", the French Mirage III-C, or the fearsome Russian fighter Mig-29 "Fulcrum" in today's screenshots?

Wargame AirLand Battle will be available on PC in Spring 2013.

Why You Not Fix Arty Visual Effects?

---> scratches his eyes out and no, Su27 screenshot did not help.

And yes, I know that it is what I can assume as MiG29S in screenshot 89, but it is post cold war, looks like has TVC nozle and no gills on the intakes (MiG29K?).

I am mad

I know that it is sheduled for rehaul, but at the same time I know that it is low priority.

p.s. I understand that this is Alpha and so on, but A10A bombing animation needs a fix.
p.p.s. And I hope that aircraft would not only fly low level flights, but actually high altitude as well, when it makes sense (like for MiG25 series).

I am sure that this will depend on the kind of aircraft.

I think I'll love WG:ALB now...
But there is one point of criticism for me: I cant see there a fighter which is used by the Luftwaffe, like the Tornado or an F4 Phantom :?
All in all its great to see this fantastic new pics^^

edit: spelling

There would be more aircraft types, I am sure both Tornado and F4 types would be in the game.
