Run your own dedicated Wargame:RD server!

Postby [EUG]MadMat » Wed 20 Nov 2013 10:00

Hi,

The dedicated server beta test has been a success. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we will now let anyone applying for it to run his own server(s).

The benefits:
- Better connection to a dedicated server near your place.
- Ability to chose the game's settings (including homemade/modded settings).
- Ability to kick/ban players that didn't follow the server's rules. (yet, not to be abused)

What would be required from you:
- the server must have a fixed IPv4 visible from the outside.
- the server must run with Linux with Debian 7 (Wheezy) distribution (it will be visible by Windows/Linux/Mac players).

Any person willing to run a dedicated server, please contact us at this eugsupport@eugen.fr (please provide your login).

Is there going to be a new version of the server ?
I'm frothing at the mouth thinking at all the possibilities not implemented yet in the current version.

Tell me more about what you're going to use SEAD against in a Category C UK deck? ;)

Thanks to Freki, there's now a subforum for anything related to dedicated server: viewforum.php?f=163 - please use this for any further stuff related to the topic ..

Edit: Split posts onwards - they can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=163&t=36935
I'm currently running short on time. Hence, it takes some time until I respond. In urgent cases, consider contacting another mod.
