How similar do you think it is to games like C&C Generals compared to ALB/RD?

Definitely closer to Generals & Act of War than Wargame.

I never played AoW, but I loved C&C Generals, especially the Zero Hour expansion. Have always enjoyed the Red Alert games, too.
I think it will be refreshing to have a new game of this style.

I am sometimes refered by the title "Ayatollah" and compared to this video when someone wants to strap a 105mm howitzer on a chopper "because fun" or add laser-beam vehicle "because cool".

How about a modified quote from the most famous Ayatollah?

"There are no jokes in Wargame. There is no humor in Wargame. There is no fun in Wargame. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious"

"Because flavour and asymmetrical balance"
I think those 2 are more common than cool and fun

Will there still be strategic zoom then?
Airborne artillery like Siege Choppers in YR would be pretty fun again
Looks like MadMat is the same at work as in the forums; crushing dreams and saying no

Re: [AoA] Meanwhile, at Focus' studio ...
Hopefully, in AoA balance would be the old, good, "between factions" one.. and not Wargame-like 'difficulty levels'
