Dive into battle in this all new trailer of Wargame: European Escalation!
Fully created using in-game footage, this all new video presents NATO forces and a few of the 361 units of the game, in breathtaking action. The ambush set up by the Warsaw Pact quickly escalates into a full-blown, spectacular battle, as NATO units call in for reinforcements to strike back the aggressor.
This is a treat for the eyes, as Wargame’s powerful engine, the IRISZOOM™, shows off its capability: maps are as big as 150 square kilometers (60 mi²), displaying over 100 million scenery objects, as hundreds of units – tanks, infantry squads, helicopters, etc – are fiercely fighting over the battlefield! This is a taste of what awaits all virtual commanders in the massive solo campaign and in its complete multiplayer mode, when the game releases in February 2012!

Are those grey "boxes" seen in the video the new unit identifications?

The game is looking good, I am liking the the German Leopard 2A4, I like the West German units I have seen so far I'm starting to make a preference will wait to see how they perform in the beta if there is one, and will have a look on the database when it's released

Something of a report:
Please tell me those tracers are older or place-holder graphics...
Also, if this is a "NATO Trailer" does that mean there will be a "Warsaw Pact Trailer"?

Two words about this trailer...
F*CK YEAH
I love wargame more and more, but there is one contra I need to mention.
The infantry movement, looks a bit too fast, maybe its just the trailer or my imagination,
but the soviet strike team ran pretty fast ^^
The other thing are the tracers. I have no problem with them, but if you really want realism I would remove them in the finished version (if that wasnt the plan all from the start

That was the most awesome trailer I have ever seen for anything.
Ever.
Ever.

Guys don't try to be something your not. Everyone out of the forums who have not played the beta don't like being told about realism then seeing trailers like this with this type of music and action. Hopefully Warsaw Pact trailer will be better.

?
I dont really get your point.
The game IS very realistic. Pheraps we all have different definitions of realism, meaning where the border of realism begins and where it ends. However, even if wargame isnt as realistic as you may want it to be, its still the most realistic RTS game so far in my humble opinion. The only other opponent in that category is Man of War and I think W:EE does way more things right than MoW.
And I dont really think that the trailer is displaying W:EE in such a wrong picture.
