Pre-ordered Hard Copy, not released until March

Postby McMeevin » Thu 23 Feb 2012 04:47

When i ordered it from my local EB Games store, i was under the assumption, that the hard copy of the game, would be released on the same day it became officially available to the public. I was told by the Storeman that the game was meant to be released TODAY, but after looking it up on the EB Games website, and calling a customer support person, they now say that there is not a concrete or official release date for a hard copy of the game.

This is kinda ridiculous realy, and i don't know who is at fault here, but now, i will either have to wait till march to get the game, or go into the store, AGAIN, and canel my copy, then go home and download it on steam, with, my shitty connection, will take at least a day and a half.

Now why, would hard copies, be released in a months time? So gay.

Nope.avi

Producing the disk, and distributing it takes time. All the while, the electronic version sits on computers waiting for some "date" to pass by.

It makes sense to release the digital version as soon as it's ready. In addition to this, the makers of the game get more income per sale from electronic sales than physical ones. So it's in their best interest to beat the physical copies to the market with a digital one.

It's not a conspiracy, mate. Why not just buy it off steam? You'd be providing EUGEN more (financial) support than if you bought it from a store.

He is in Australia. Worst net in the world until we get our NBN
I get average 200k downloads on steam. Will take me all night to download off steam. But I still prefer it to paying the middle man for a box I will have to throw out.

EB, should not of assumed they would of had a hard copy of the game in store by the 23rd, or marketers at EUGEN shouldn't have stated to PAL countries that it would be sent out by the release date.
