Sir Red wrote:If you read the nation United Kingdom in the opposing forces section it says " their supply tanks are extremely mobile and light." I have never heard that phase meaning slow and since I did not see any other nations supply trucks being talked about, I can only assume that United Kingdom's has this luxury.

Well, I think you have just spotted a translation mistake ... :)
The French sentence is "L'infanterie (...) dispose de (...) blindés de soutien d'infanterie extrêmement légers et mobiles". Which means "The infantry (...) may count on (...) extremely fast and mobile support tanks".
"Support" tanks, not "supply" ...

Probably going to play the US in the latest timeframe the game allows. Then when i'm tired of being blasted by SAMS and T80's due to inevitable mistakes on my part, I'll take it back to the earliest and check out some of the vehicles I've read about but am totally unfamiliar with.

Maybe the UK or the US to play with, when mod times are coming around I'm going, I think towards the Holland/Belgium Army. Not they had developed alot of Hardware like tanks, but they made Personal Weapons (FN Herstal) or made arnaments/complete ships (Thales Netherlands, or the later/recent Fennek) However that goes towards the 1990's atleast.

From 1990's onwards, Dutch Naval technology is nearly impossible to beat... Hello there, APAR-L.

The Dutch had the YP-408 armored car, which was their own.

You'll find plenty of pictures of it there: http://www.dafyp408.nl/fotoboek/josh.htm

As for our Belgians neighbours, well, they had their "Régiment Para-commando" (Airborne Commandos Regiment) which was fitted with the classiest Cold War era's uniform. That ain't nothing ...

Don't forget the swiss army, with their wonderful "corn poppy" camo patterns

I would go with 20% artillery 40% infantry 15% tanks and the rest nuclear weapons

I'm going to go for a west German army, mixed with some US helicopter support, but mainly with MBT's and some APC for scouting

The Bundeswehr is tough, and from 1975, it fields some of the most modern NATO equipment. Their scout cars (the Luchs) or MBTs (Leopard & Leopard 2) are also very good, but you may be right to look elsewhere for choppers for this is not their speciality.

Like their WW2 counterparts, the West Germans have excellent units ... but at a cost.
