at the end of a game, a guy flipped out at me for "sniping his artillery" or somesuch nonsense. the way i "sniped" his arty was with two AUF1s plus a recon helicopter, vs his 12 basic arty units that were horribly managed and never even moved! had myself a good laugh at that.

I realised Pact are flanking me through a wood, so I send some infantry to clear them out. Then I realised my two squads of Chasseurs Famas are facing about two companies worth of Pact mechanised troops. One squad is fragged instantly so i tell the others to run away.

Suddenly they stumble onto and capture eight Urals full of supplies which, with some support from a pair of mortars, allowed them to hold their ground and eliminate about twenty times their own number and points worth of troops, saving the whole flank in the process

a company of fulileers backed up by marauders failing to be dislodged by a massed armour push into a forest supported by infantry and flame tanks, im thinking 120 infantry may have been over kill, the very same game they also took an impressive toll on PACT gunship for a loss of 10 men, as the damn chopers went all kamakazi when they were shot down

Watching 3 vet 2 48A1 Chaparrals shoot 12 missiles at 2 Hinds and not kill both. That honestly convinced me that NATO only has gun AA. I had another game last night where 2 48A1s took 7 shots at a Mi-2D that had wandered out into the open on Dual Field only to miss with 7 missiles before he was out of range. Why god, why.

Killing 2 Buratinos with a Luchs M1 in the woods on Hell's Highway, and the Luchs being able to see the 12 or so tanks driving back through the gaps in the woods to kill it. The Luchs then heads for center where he encounters 20 skot-2s filled with poles. I pull him off the road to put some distance in between them in case they unload on the road and charge his CMD I spot which is slight behind most of the Skots. He kills 3 of the skots in route and gets the command vehicle with less then 3 seconds of sustained fire. I wish I could give that crew the Medal of Honor.

Game from like 30 minutes ago:

Am lvl 25, but have little experience with close-in rocket arty micromanagement (AKA: I suck with burrito...)

Still early in the game, me playing my usual PACT deck, 3v3 game, I got a strategic small forest covered with 2 flame tanks, 4 cheapest infantry unit with SKOTs nearby and a burrito with 2 supply trucks (dont leave home without em) passing by road quite close behind it (for a planned attack someplace else). Suddenly, my recce shoved me something like 1000pts NATO player raid for my ~100pts forest, with 8 MBT70s, some 10+ folks in FABs, etc.

I decided to kill soft targets with burrito, fallback infantry to hide it in forest , so maybe 1 or 2 unlucky MBTs will die from strelki or flametanks. MBTs would be killed by my helis or cheap ATs (already on their way) and the show would go on.

I found my burrito closer than expected (was cruising on the road) and still hoping that my force would die honorably, set up to fire with it. Setup was: enemy, my forest units, my burrito close behind it.

Because I suck with speed calculation, I miscalculated the arty fire, (I try to fire on fixed land normally), and while FABS got out of the killing zone, I got full shitload of 32 rockets STRAIGHT on 8 MBTs... From less than 2 km - it looked like ZERO scatter - every single rocket very close to the other...

End result:
- 4 or 5 MBTs killed instantly, rest routed - even vet 2 or 3 didnt work...
- FABs reached my line and got raped by flametanks and my strelki (jeez, flamers shooting blind in forests are crazy)
- second burrito volley killed rest of MBTs...

I was laughing my ass off:) Lost one OT-55 and something like half of infantry in exchange of something like 1K pts. Still, my enemy did not rage quit, but to tell you the truth - I guess I might have if it was the other way around.

Hah! I had something similar, but with me on the offensive.

Opponent (in a 4 v. 4) bought a bunch of highly ranked Challenger tanks (245 pts each) along with some other expensive stuff and decided to put them at the edge of a forrest for ambushing. He picked the wrong spot as the ridge in front of him made it impossible for his tanks to reach out. And his close-combat support was insufficient.

Combined assault of my Stormtroopers annihilated his Challengers swiftly and banked me a 1300 points gain versus a 160 points loss or something.

I had a hilarious exchange of fire with respawning soldiers.

After a flank attack to their rear, I managed to capture 2 FOBs side by side and unloaded the cheap Czech infantry. Then they got rushed by Legion FAMAS in VABs.

The hilarity starts when the Legion recaptures one of their FOBs, and both of our squads are constantly resupplied by clone troopers from combat and ended up shooting each other on open ground for about close to a minute before the Motorstreki bit the dust.
