Running the game maxed out...

Postby Commissar Fuklaw » Fri 13 Apr 2012 22:52

This...is the most...in maximum settings.....oh my god...I feel as if I just had sex while HALO jump sky diving with the entire hooker population of Amsterdam with a metal band rock-off playing next to us, no parachutes, as we skim the surface of the earth and slingshot into low orbit.

That is how this game feels with maxed out everything. I did have one graphical error for a second due to running textures for shadows at 4k-ish, but I feel no need for that and consider it a technical bug not a limit to my machine.

Thank you Eugen for such an awesome game. I love you all.

What I had
Intel E6700 DuoCore, 2.65 or w/e Ghz
4 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 9600

What I have now
Intel i7 2700k 3.5ghz
16 GB Corsair DDR3 RAM
EVGA GTX 570, 1280 MB
ASUS mobo

I'm hoping that the new mid range Nvidia cards come out before I upgrade since 7870 are ridiculously priced right now. ugggh, those screens look so pretty.

Me? No... I was kind of hoping that it will be fixed in patch so I kept playing on DX9...

yes the fire in wee perhaps is the most haunting thing i've ever seen in a game. you dont know if its computer-generated graphics or real footage of a forest fire in a droughty place of the world
