Will there be mission editors like in the old school RTS??

Alot of new RTS nowadays only features a map editor which gets boring
real quick as there is only the same online/skirmish mode outside the
singleplayer campaign.

Having a mission editor will dramatically improve the playability of the game
as players can make their own custom made scenarios and share it with
the community, be it for SP or MP. Just take note at games like starcraft
and see how their modding community was benefited by it.

We believe that the modding tools should be done closely with the community.

Here is a list of the different kinds of tools that would be needed for the community.
The classic ones are these ones :

- map editor
- unit editor
- weapon & rules editor

but as Wargame is pretty multiplayer oriented, we should also consider

- tournament editor
- possibility to create persistant "fictional wars" with players
...

Does this include import abilities for NEW units or just editing existing one?

Just a question because I'm working an a few... new units.

new units "may" break the game imo. but im up for full factions or overhauls on that subject. must realise that we can not affect the core gameplay and its community players.

Would be great then if Eugen Systems can "import" great units from the community into the game... for everyone., with a patch.

Not all armies are complete, missing a few things here and there (in the given timeline)

Modding tools - yes please.

I would be on modding this fine game like the proverbial 'tramp on chips'.

It would be interesting how many polygons the vehicle have, depending on the size.

Tools to help integrate textures, 3d model export and sound editors would be awesome - especially for those looking to make total conversion mods.

I'd suppose anything that breaks things would go through a lot of community/Eugen filtering before it becomes widespread in any fashion. Probably too much filtering before anything gets anywhere :) Would be nice to see more Polish etc. units though.

I think this game needs new maps and new game modes sorely. Actually Eugen should add those, but the community will have much more ideas and vision than what Eugen can come up with, so we'd need tools for those as well.

Under "game modes" you could put stuff like:
-Victory conditions
-Deck limitations
-Deployment limitations (can't deploy more than 500pts worth of heli/tank/etc)
-Various scripting
